How do I request VPN access for my WVU desktop/laptop for remote work?
Contact your Departmental Computer Support Contact and ask them to request VPN access for your remote computer. Your computer will need to be managed by HSC ITS SCCM, InTune or JAMF servers and meet all IT security requirements under the University-Owned Devices Standard such as updated anti-virus, operating system, hardware encryption and connected to the HS domain.
Please note that before you can take hardware offsite, you must have approval through your supervisor and must return all hardware/software assigned prior to employment separation.
All remote workers must adhere to HSC’s HIPAA Security and Privacy policies and standards as documented in HSC’s Telework policy (accessible via intranet only).
