Mountaineer Doctor Television currently broadcasts Weekly Continuing Medical Education Programs to various facilities around the state including the WVU Medicine University Town Centre. This service offering allows providers the opportunity to participate and learn with their colleagues even when distance is a factor.
Participants can join remotely from their home/office computer or mobile device. Some events are recorded as well so if you miss the actual conference but were interested in the topic, you can watch it when the time is right for you.
Some Department Sponsored CME events permit remote participants to receive various types of Continuing Education credit hours through the WVU Office of Continuing Education. Continuing Education Credit offerings are listed below:
The West Virginia University School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The WVU Office of CME designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1 category 1 credit toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those credits that he/she actually spend in the activity.
