Sophos Home Anti-Virus Available for WVU Students

Sophos Home anti-virus software is now available for WVU students. Sophos is WVU’s new anti-virus software of choice that is replacing Kaspersky and should be installed as quickly as possible. 

To protect your laptop, please follow the instructions below to remove Kaspersky and install Sophos. 

To remove Kaspersky from your laptop, please follow the directions below to remove your current anti-virus program Kaspersky before installing Sophos.  If you need assistance uninstalling Kaspersky, our previous anti-virus software of choice, you can visit the appropriate link below for instructions:

To Install Sophos on your laptop or other computer devices, please visit https://freeav.wvu.edu and follow the instructions.  It is recommended that you remove Kaspersky as soon as possible and install Sophos onto your personal computer.
