Third-party tool changes after upgrade 12/22-12/23

The way you access some third-party tools in SOLE will change on Thursday, Dec. 22 as part of an ongoing, vendor-required upgrade scheduled for 8:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. VoiceThread and Turnitin will be unavailable through Dec. 23.

Instructors should be aware that while no changes in functionality will occur, any existing VoiceThread assignments and links will need to be recreated after the update.

Turnitin was upgraded in August, before the start of the fall semester, but links to old assignments continued to work. This will change with the Dec. 22 upgrade; all links created before Aug. 10 will cease to function and will need to be recreated.

HSC ITS will update access to these tools on Dec. 23 following the update. Questions can be directed to SOLE Support at 304-293-2491 Opt. 1 or submit a ticket.
