Request a Website Re-Design

To request a website re-design please review the information below. 

Website re-design process:

  • Please have the the Project Communicator (The person leading the project on your team) fill out the Website Request Form
    • HSC ITS Website Request Form
    • Upon receiving your form the HSC ITS Web Development Team will review your request and contact you within 5 business days to discuss the project
  • Once the Project Communicator has been contacted by the HSC ITS Web Development Team they should contact the HSC Internet Strategist about reviewing the current website
  • HSC Internet Strategist and Project Communicator develop new, or refine current content for the website
  • HSC Internet Strategist and Project Communicator finalize content and send a website hierarchy to the HSC ITS Web Development Team
  • HSC ITS Web Development Team reviews the proposed hierarchy along with the websites content
    • If there are questions these will be submitted to the HSC Internet Strategist so they can review these with the Project Communicator and provide answers
  • HSC Internet Strategist, Project Communicator and HSC ITS Web Development Team meet to finalize the websites content and hierarchy
  • HSC ITS Web Development Team designs and develops the new design for the website
    • During this process there will be multiple check-ins to the HSC Internet Strategist and Project Communicator
    • The designs will also be submitted multiple times to the WVU University Relations Web Development Team to ensure WVU Brand Guidelines are being maintained
    • The HSC ITS Web Development Team will migrate some initial content to ensure ease of use and readability
    • The HSC ITS Web Development Team will build out a skeleton of blank pages so content can be added to those
  • Upon completion of the design and development of the website, the HSC ITS Web Development Team will hand the project off to the HSC Internet Strategist and the Project Communicator to complete the migration of the websites content into the new website
    • During this time the HSC ITS Web Development Team will review migration progress to ensure WVU Brand Guidelines are being met and web standards and content flow are not being compromised
  • Once content migration is completed the HSC ITS Web Development Team will test the website to ensure it is accessible, responsive, and that the website adheres to WVU Brand Guidelines
  • The HSC ITS Web Development Team will set a final project launch date
