Delay Monterey OS Upgrade

ITS suggests Apple computer users delay Monterey OS upgrade until compatibility is ensured

Information Technology Services recommends that faculty, staff and students wait to install Apple’s latest operating system, Monterey, until it has been proven compatible with critical applications such as eCampus, MAP, STAR, Microsoft Office, Sophos Anti-Virus and online exam testing such as NBME and ATI exams. This recommendation applies to both WVU-owned and personally-owned computers that are used for work or study.

Monterey was released Monday, Oct. 25, but both ITS and Health Sciences ITS will block the installation on computers they manage for at least 30 days. ITS will provide an update when Monterey is cleared for installation.
